My name is [NAME]. I want to talk about what it's like to live under occupation. March , , Russian troops entered our city of [CITY], Kherson region. From that day on, life turned upside down for all the city's residents. My daughter and I experienced for ourselves what hunger is like because the shops, which were already empty, were ordered to be closed by Russian soldiers. The mayor was taken hostage before our eyes. People were rallying, but we were dispersed with stun grenades and tear gas. We are told to be humble. Otherwise, it will be bad for everyone. Since then, they have been living in our city, conducting daily shelling in the direction of [CITY]. Those residents who could leave. But this requires a lot of money. So the city is left with practically lonely pensioners and those who barely find a way to feed themselves. The situation is difficult because the Russians have wholly taken power from us. And we cannot go against it. No rubber aid has been delivered to our city since the beginning of the war. People were dying from a lack of vital medicines. The situation remains the same. We are all waiting for release, but not at the cost of our lives.

Мене звуть Наталія. Я хочу розповісти про те, як це жити в окупації. березня р. до нашого міста [МІСТО] Херсонської області зайшли російські війська. З цього дня життя перекинулося для всіх мешканців міста. Ми з донькою випробували на собі, що таке голод, оскільки магазини, які й так спорожніли, наказано було закрити російськими солдатами. На наших очах відбувалося взяття мера до заручників. Люди мітингували, але нас розганяли шумовими гранатами та сльозогінним газом. Нам наказали бути смиренними, інакше буде погано всім. З того часу вони проживають у нашому місті, ведуть щоденні обстріли у бік [МІСТО]. Хто мав змогу, ті жителі поїхали. Але на це потрібні немалі гроші. Так що в місті залишилися практично самотні пенсіонери і ті люди, які ледве знаходять, за що себе прогодувати. Ситуація важка тим, що росіяни повністю взяли владу з нас. І ми не можемо йти проти. Жодної гумдопомоги з початку війни до нашого міста не було доставлено. Люди вмирали від нестачі життєво важливих ліків. Ситуація залишається такою самою. Ми всі чекаємо на звільнення, але не ціною наших життів.
