It all started on February , when I woke up from the words of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, that a war had begun. Panic began. A family from the city came to us, there was an explosion near them and they didn't have time to take anything as they were and came. With tears in my eyes, it seemed that the invaders were going to enter the house and kill us. The first days of the war were tense, everyone was crying, afraid, worried, preparing for the worst. It was cloudy in the yard even with sunny weather. The boys from the village were taken to the war. Every day it got worse and worse, but we believed in Victory and we still do. No one could have thought that in the st century there would be such a cruel war, grandparents say that even the Germans did not treat us like Muscovites do. Over time, we got used to it, and with all our efforts we help our defenders as much as we can, we weave camouflage nets, bake cookies, pies, twist stews, it distracts a little. At first it was not easy, but for myself I decided that I should not give up and put everything off until after the war, but start doing something now. I started learning English, increasing my vocabulary. Watching Ukrainian films, listening to Ukrainian songs. There is practically no Russian in my life now. We continue to live, meet with friends, plant gardens, work and study. Because we are Ukrainians!

Все почалося лютого, я прокинулася від слів президента України Володимира Зеленського, що почалася війна. Почалася паніка. Родина з міста приїхала до нас, біля них стався вибух і вони не встигли нічого взяти, як були, так і приїхали. На очах сльози, здавалося, от зайдуть до хати окупанти й вб'ють нас. Перші дні війни були напружені, всі плакали, боялися, переживали, готувалися до найгіршого. На дворі було пахмурно навіть з сонячною погодою. Хлопців з села позабирали на війну. З кожним днем було все гірше і гірше, але ми вірили у Перемогу і зараз віримо. Ніхто і подумати не міг, що у столітті буде така жорстока війна, бабусі й дідусі розказують, що навіть німці з нами так не чинили, як це роблять москалі. З часом ми вже звикли, і всіма зусиллями допомагаємо чим можемо нашим захисникам, плетемо маскувальні сітки, печемо печиво, пироги, крутимо тушонки, це відволікає трохи. Спочатку було не легко, але для себе я вирішила, що не потрібно опускати руки й все відкладати на після війни, а починати зараз щось робити. Я почала вчити англійську мову, збільшувати свій словниковий запас. Дивитися українські фільми, слухати українські пісні. Російського зараз в моєму житті практично немає. Ми продовжуємо жити, зустрічаємось з друзями, садимо городи, працюємо вчимося. Адже ми українці!
