War Testimony /

My family and I live in the village of [CITY] on the shores of the Sea of Azov in the Zaporizhzhia Region, [DISTRICT] District. My life was active and varied: favorite job, happy family, interesting social activities. February - war, temporary occupation of my village, my community. And now my life is divided into before and after. Russian occupiers entered the village of [CITY] on the third day after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The village and its residents have been under occupation for over days. No communication, no gas, no cash, medicine, food. The occupiers immediately began to fire at all the communication towers, began to take away SIM cards, and took away the phones of many. Then medicine and food ran out, locals raked everything off the shelves in panic and fear of the unknown. Products were sold out in the first days of the war. It is known from telephone conversations that there is food in the stores, but the prices are shocking. I work at a school as a teacher and head of the library, the occupation authorities have not yet touched our school, they are not very clearly pressuring us not to resist. I know from conversations with colleagues that our teachers will refuse to cooperate, although I do not know what the consequences of our decision will be. I got scared, I can't risk my son like that, so together with my husband, we decided that we should leave our native home, and my husband should stay at home. First, we went to [CITY], but the opportunity to leave the occupied city is valued at its weight in gold, then we went to [CITY] and later to [CITY], Ivano-Frankivsk region, where we live in a temporary shelter. We escaped from hell on April , all my relatives remained in the temporarily occupied territory. The occupiers freed me from home, from work, from peace; son, from school and childhood, from the opportunity to live with dad and grandmother; husband, from ability to see his family every day. I hope that these terrible events will end soon and every Ukrainian will return home. Every day I am in a state of constant fear and suffering, but I need to be strong because I have such an adult son looking at me. I dedicate all my prayers to the family, our brave and indomitable soldiers, our brave people. We will win! Glory to Ukraine!
