War Testimony /

My wife and I are from an occupied city, from the very beginning of the war, when Russian troops approached the city, we were worried about shelling and destruction, and where exactly to hide, since there were no prepared shelters. After the orcs entered the city, our military was not in the city and there was no one to fight back, they quickly learned about it, so they did not touch the people. People were not afraid to go to rallies in support of our country, but periodically we heard explosions, shots, captured the police, the prosecutor's office, and the city council. But the authorities themselves refused to work with the Russian troops and continued their work in another building. There were problems with heating and gas, since a week after the start of the war, the gas pipeline was damaged, it was - degrees outside, we started to turn on the heaters, but as it turned out, our networks did not count on this, wires and transformers were constantly burning in the city, we were worried so that the main transformer does not burn out, because there will be nothing to repair. Therefore, when the heater was turned on, everything else was turned off, and so on for a whole month, the apartment had a maximum of +. But this cannot be compared to what happened not far from our city, they drove us, came to us, and some came on foot from [CITY], the people of [CITY] took them into their homes, accommodated them in schools, hotels... Who could where, despite the fact that there was no why cook and what to cook. There were problems with products, they disappeared a few days after the start of the war, and what remained began to cost ten times more. For example, eggs were UAH before the war, and UAH a week later, there were no cereals at all, everyone was running around the shops looking for something. Many groceries stores closed after two weeks. It's one thing to buy food, but we didn't work for it, the money was on the cards, it was very difficult to withdraw it, it was difficult to stand in line for weeks when it was cold -. Almost all the medicines disappeared from the pharmacies, I have diabetes and I need to take injections all the time, there were still medicines, but something had to be done. New troops from Crimea entered the city, began beating people on the streets, kidnapping, acquaintances began to leave, and after a month of occupation, we realized that we could not stand what was happening in the city and decided to leave [CITY]. It was very difficult to find a carrier, since there was no connection in the city, both financially and morally to leave everything and go nowhere. A week after we found the carrier, we sit on the bus and left the city. The road was difficult and dangerous. There were checks, men were constantly taken out, interrogated, passports were checked, patriotic tattoos were searched, mobile phones, tablets and laptops were checked, everything was searched. We were lucky, we got there in one day, since we went through [CITY], those who went through [CITY] stood for three days until they were allowed to enter the city. At the moment, we are in the controlled territory, where it is more or less calm, but everything is fine, we have many relatives left in the Zaporizhzhia region. But we believe that we will return home, and Ukraine will win.
