The full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine brought bloodshed and dashed the dreams of many young Ukrainians. Many young men and women volunteered for the army to defend their country from Russian aggression with weapons in their hands, joined the ranks of territorial defence, volunteering. DW collected four stories of young Ukrainians whose lives were dramatically changed by the war. A month after the war began, it is still a war, but there is no hope that everything will end quickly. it seemed that somehow life was being restored... Kyiv is coming to life... I saw a family with a child, they were walking, laughing, as before... If it is possible to quickly push out the Russian troops around Kyiv, the capital will soon be able to return to normal life.

Повномасштабне вторгнення російських військ в Україну принесло кровопролиття і перекреслило мрії багатьох молодих українців. Багато юнаків та дівчат пішли добровольцями в армію, щоб зі зброєю в руках захищати свою країну від російської агресії, вступили до лав територіальної оборони, почали волонтерити. DW зібрала чотири історії молодих українців, життя яких різко змінила війна. Місяць після початку війна – все ще війна, але надії, що все завершиться швидко, вже немає. Здалося, що якось життя ніби відновлюється... Київ оживає... Я бачила сім'ю з дитиною, вони гуляли, сміялися, як раніше... Якщо вдасться швидко витіснити російські війська навколо Києва, столиця скоро зможе повернутися до нормального життя.
