War Testimony /
My town of [CITY], Luhansk Region, has suffered from attacks since March. My family and I hoped that it would pass quickly and we would continue to live in our house. But life showed completely different. They beat hard on [CITY], shells landed next to the house, the glass on the windows cracked, we sat without gas, electricity and water, but we hoped that it would pass soon. When people from neighbouring houses began to die, it flew into our entrance and the house shook so much that our hearts almost jumped out and we froze, because in March there were still severe frosts, we decided to leave the city. We took suitcases with the most necessary things in our hands and walked down the street. As we walked, we saw how the house and the adjacent sheds were burning from all sides. There was no one to put them out, because the firemen were already in the city at that time. All this resembled some kind of "apocalypse". With God's help, we reached the club from where the evacuation buses were leaving. But in the morning we saw a long line of children and elderly people and decided to go later. They spent a week in the bomb shelter of the club, slept on folding beds, were glad to have a sip of boiled water in the evening, and humanitarians from a broken bus. Finally, we managed to leave for Solidar, where we were able to find ourselves in human conditions, bathe, eat hot food, and sleep on a bed without explosions. But the front was approaching and we went further, we found the "Pryhystok" website where we were offered accommodation.
