War Testimony /
Me and the War: my experience of Living in the War. My Emotions and thoughts at the beginning of the War. For each of us, like me, the first days of the war was psychologically and morally challenging. On the first day, I woke up to the sound of a siren from the TV. I was indescribably scared because I did not fully understand what was happening. But it was necessary to wake up early. Although the teachers showed us pairs, the information was not perceived at all. The following days were highly stressful because planes and helicopters were constantly flying over my village, which I was terrified of. But I was not even so afraid for myself as for my relatives, especially for my sister, who was in [CITY]; that is, she was in the greatest danger. Honestly, my main fear was and remained that my dad might be taken to the front... At that moment, I could not believe that this situation was happening in Ukraine and with me. weeks after it started, it was my birthday. Although my village was quiet, I didn't hear any explosions or sirens, but I didn't want to celebrate anything at all. We just sat down with my family for dinner and talked, trying not to touch on the subject of war. With each passing day, the situation in Ukraine became more tense, and at the same time, my fear that it could happen to me increased, but I was in the village and, to be honest, over time, I began to calm down and understand that I had nothing to fear. How I coped to date, I cannot say that I have finally coped with my experiences, but still, my experiences have decreased much more than those at the beginning of the war. What helped me the most was my faith in our Armed Forces and the support of family and close friends. I started going to the school in the village to weave nets, and I also helped pack the stew that was made for the front. That is, I started to communicate more with people and talk about my experiences, and in this way, I let go of this panic little by little instead of keeping everything to myself. Also, my subconscious told me that over time everything would be fine; I believed, believe and will continue to believe that we will win. Victory will be our joint forces because only in unity is strength. My experiences now I can say that now my experiences are not intense or they are not very frequent because, thanks to God and our defenders, now the situation where I am is calm. Of course, constant posts on social networks about the death of people inspire fear, but you need to believe in a bright future. The recent good news about the exchange of our prisoners of war and the successful actions of our military in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions cannot but please me because these are significant steps towards victory. I believe in our forces; I believe in our Armed Forces and our victory. Keywords: war, fear, tears, panic, misunderstanding, faith, actions, victory, bright future.
