War Testimony /

If one could characterize now the whole spectrum of my emotions, which I experienced from the beginning of the full-scale invasion until today, it is the fear of waiting, fear and uncertainty with the beginning of the invasion, anger, hatred, the desire to destroy, the feeling of helplessness, insignificance, despair, the desire to be always ready, fear of the future, the desire to protect relatives, thoughts about what will happen if I die. Now I'm studying (I'm graduating from medical college), and I'm waiting for my final exams in the summer. After that, if the war does not end, I will most likely be mobilized as a medical worker. It is quite an interesting experience when you understand what awaits you, and you cannot change anything. There is no fear here, only uncertainty about whether you will be able to do everything correctly and quickly. And not die. It's annoying when relatives or acquaintances say, "Don't pay attention to it; everything will end, and no one will be taken away." And if it doesn't end? The fact is that this position (although I partially understand it) is VERY annoying. To hope for "what if, "... I am sure that every citizen of our country should be prepared as much as possible: courses on providing first aid, volunteering, self-defence courses, etc. We need to use all the resources available to us. And it also pisses me off that we are all "relaxed." We are getting used to war, yes. And I constantly tell my acquaintances and friends about it. We live km away from us. Our fellow citizens are not being killed, they are not being tortured, they are not suffering from hunger, and they are not living in inhumane conditions. I broke up with a "supposedly" friend from [CITY] when we had a discussion about the monument to Catherine . I still cannot understand the position of those who stubbornly speak Russian, who stubbornly pray to the monuments of Pushkin, Catherine, etc... What has to happen for these people to wake up? And this is taking into account the fact that she left the shelling to the west of the country, to [CITY]. It annoys me that there are people who say, "But here we are in Kharkiv/ in Odesa/in Zaporizhzhia, there is an impending war, but here you are - no, you live peacefully." After such words, I feel inferior. The fact that I was born and lived in the central part of Ukraine and the fact that the enemy did not occupy my native land does not make me a person who suffers less emotionally. And the fact that these people had to flee from rocket fire does not make them more "privileged" (and it sounds like that). What do I need to do so that I can also join the club of those who say, "If you've been through it, then we've been through it"? No, I have no disrespect for these people; on the contrary, I want to help them, but after such words. Every time I am convinced that this is just how the human brain works in stressful situations. And the phrase "out of time" annoys me. That is? How is it? Why? Isn't a full-scale invasion a reason to take it and change? Isn't it a reason to do what the enemy wants to take from us? Isn't it a reason for self-purification and improvement? I hope that we will still learn the lessons of the war (for some reason, I am sure that it will be so. And we will become better. We will clean up. And we will improve ourselves.
