War Testimony /

I felt horror at in the morning on February when I read on social media about explosions in many cities of Ukraine, where I also live, and then about the mass shelling of [CITY]. Also, the fear of realizing that I have to go to the basement because the alarm sounds in the first days of war Impossibility to control your body, which is throbbing as if in a fever. Fear of going to bed because there may be attacks. Even in clothes. Some stunted body. Terrible memories of the fighting in my city on March -. When there is shelling from everywhere, it is not known whether we will survive or not because the occupiers have surrounded the city and are hunting it. And my mother and neighbours, and I are sitting in the basement with frightened eyes, and everyone is quietly praying as best they can. And although many people died, they still broke that column of invaders. Thank the local residents and the th Airborne Assault Brigade from [CITY]. I often thank them in my thoughts. Those events are like in a fog. My friends and acquaintances from other cities supported me by phone all the time, so I survived more or less. Support is critical. Most of all, I feel sorry for the innocent tortured and killed Ukrainians. There are also such in our city. After these events and missile attacks, fear even goes into the soul because suddenly, there is an attack or an attack. There was no rest in the dream either: arrivals, planes, shelling, explosions and fire from the sky. A little sedative helped. Now the psyche and the body have adapted because where I live, there are no hostilities, and there are few flights; air defence works well. But negative events throughout the country affect me too, and I react painfully. It is the continuation of the stress of every day, the constant heartache of the war. Worrying about relatives and friends is also present, adding to the stress. Still, the first months were probably the scariest in my life. I will never forget how I was walking down the street and came under massive rocket fire on May . Rockets whistle overhead, and sounds of anti-aircraft fire are heard mixed with the sounds of explosions and landings from all sides, it seemed, at the same time. However, I believe that what I experienced is nothing compared to the grief of other affected people who have experienced and have not experienced, unfortunately.
