War Testimony /
On February , I woke up to a loud noise, at first not understanding what was happening, so I did not wake up my relatives yet. I lay, listening and looking out the window. It became somewhat disturbing. When I saw several fighter planes, I realized that something not very good was happening. When another plane flew almost over the house, the relatives also woke up. For some reason, I didn't immediately think to open and read the news; my boyfriend did it. Then we learned that a real war had begun. More precisely, a full-scale invasion. I couldn't believe it until the end; I quickly packed my things to go to a safe place for my parents who live in [CITY]. The full extent of what was happening at that time came to me when, already at the entrance to [CITY], I saw a blocked entrance to the city, and while driving around the field, I counted at least rockets that flew over the car. The only thought then was to survive, to get out of there quickly. Then my world turned upside down. The road home turned out to be the longest in my life; there was a huge traffic jam. Therefore, instead of the usual hours, we spent as many as . My boyfriend returned to [CITY]; he did not want to hide. And the next four months seemed to be in a fog. I slept dressed to get out of bed quickly in case of something, every day monitoring the news almost /, scary photos from destroyed cities and dead people. And it was terrifying when rockets flew over the house at night. I wanted to sink underground, dissolve into the air, just so I wouldn't hear that terrible whistle. I worked around the house, helped my parents, and studied remotely, but it seemed as if it was all done automatically, unconsciously. After some time, I decided to return to [CITY] because I got myself together and realized that I needed to live somehow. Then, I think I got used to the constant sirens and the anxiety that went on with them. The morning of July also began anxiously; the feelings of February were remembered. That's why this number is stuck in my memory. I was alone at home. And instead of the hum of planes, I heard the whistling of rockets and then explosions. The whole house was shaking; the windows were shaking. And I was lying under the table, covering the cat with myself. When it seemed that everything was over, after twenty minutes, there were four more explosions, and after another fifteen minutes - three, only in other places. My hands were shaking almost all day. If earlier it seemed that anxieties were already common, then after that day, anxiety and fear increased again. Then, with even more tremendous anger at the enemy, I began donating funds to our armed forces. And now, when the th day of the full-scale invasion continues when the Russians are trying to scare us with the lack of light and heat, there is almost no fear left. And yes, I do not call Russians orcs and other synonyms made up by the people because, in my opinion, this partly removes responsibility from them and shifts it to mythical characters. For me, it is the Russians who are killing my country, committing genocide. You should always call a spade a spade. Currently, there is only a desire to help the army as much as possible, to give thanks for every morning that comes and to live life to the fullest.
