War Testimony /
The war was the end for me, before which life was normal. But it is entirely different now. Fear and risk fill me from. I forgot what a bright life is; the colour of life is black. Constant evil thoughts, stress, sedatives. The war was a severe injury; for me, it became fatal even earlier when everything was just beginning. My dad is a military man; I am a school-going kid. My brain was literally boiling with thoughts, and my parents were telling to each other that he was leaving tomorrow, not for work but for war. ATO, that was the name of the war at that time; at that time, everyone still hoped that everything would end there. But no, it all started again. The month of February has ended, and life has become cold and fierce, but I am no longer a child, although pain is already etched in me. Now, everyone is afraid of it, and every child knows what war is. I am now an adult, but every time I see soldiers in uniform, with tears in my eyes, I remember the moment when I let my dad go. The only thoughts in my head were that he would return, and now in front of my eyes, was an adult, already mature. Thousands of innocent people are dying, but I can't do anything, I can't shield them from bullets. War is scary; we wake up not from an alarm clock but from anxiety. We hide in cold cellars and smile when we hear that Today our boys are doing well; we survived another hard night. My mental state has weakened. Lately, I want to believe that everything will be fine, but I can't; every day, I ask myself questions that I can't answer; I think about them long and hard. But I still can't answer. Now I'm going through a difficult moment; my closest person is at the front, not Dad; he's gone. It is all of them, the Russian authorities, who became the cause. His psychological state was on edge; he started abusing, as our boys still drink wounds Today; it's scary. Now my beloved boyfriend is in the war, we were going to get married in February, but no, we didn't get married, because I can't celebrate a wedding in the war. My feelings for him are powerful; every night, I can't sleep, and in the morning, I fall asleep; the feelings are overwhelming, but you live one day at a time. You want to tell everyone Today how much you love them because tomorrow, you may not wake up, and you want it to end. Life will not be the same as before, but the life of a person whom I do not even know, or my beloved, will be saved, and I pray for every defender, and child, that everything will be fine with him, that those executioners will not harm them. Life after - it scares me; there will be a sad nation that will be afraid of explosions and various sounds. Life will go on, but the wound will remain and will bleed until the end. To give consequences, and to hurt, as it hurts now.
