War Testimony /

My name is [NAME], and I am from [CITY]. The war hit me already in the Kyiv region, where I had moved the day before. On February , I woke up at in the morning with a feeling of anxiety, and on the phone, everyone was already writing about the explosions, and my relatives started calling me. The whole day of the th passed as if in a fog; on February , my beloved and I decided to evacuate. We found gasoline somewhere, waited in long lines for it, stocked up on water and went to [CITY], where we spent months. These were very anxious months; time passed so slowly, and I incredibly wanted to go home to my usual life. The first days I just read the news every day, from morning to night, taking breaks to eat and charge my phone. Every day I looked and looked for an answer on the Internet when the war would end... People on the screen reassured me, saying that in May, I was really looking forward to May; it seemed to me that in May, I would already live my usual life. But now it is already October, the end of October, and I do not see the end of this war shortly. For myself, I decided that it's all I can do, but I'll definitely continue to live, do routine things and try to enjoy what I have, and look for a reason to smile. I am already at home, and my loved one is near, but anxiety does not leave me; we live Today, looking with fear at tomorrow, even if it is. We live, like hundreds, thousands of Ukrainians, in anticipation of the day when our homes will be filled with tears of victory and happiness from peace!
